Former Jethro Tull arranger / keyboard player David Palmer recorded Objects Of Fantasy, an album of orchestral versions of Pink Floyd songs in 1989.

David Palmer began doing arranging and conducting on a variety of projects after first taking up music in
the army and then going to music school.

He worked with various artists over the years, but most notable in its impact on his future career was his work with Jethro Tull.

In 1975, he became a member of that band.

He stayed with the group until 1980 when he left to form a group called Tallis.

Tallis did not do the best job of paying the bills, though, and Palmer found himself working on scoring movies and doing session work.

He has done arranging on a large number of recordings since his Tull days.
